Open your garden – support the Open Gardens scheme

Open Gardens is made possible thanks to hundreds of garden owners who kindly allow the public to visit their gardens, and thousands of volunteers who organise and help out at events.

In 2008, Open Gardens raised more than £175,000 to help the British Red Cross care for people in crisis both in the UK and overseas.

Enjoy the benefits of your hard work by opening your garden to the appreciative gardening public, and raise money for a worthwhile cause at the same time!

We are looking for gardens of all shapes and sizes, from small cottages to whole villages – size doesn't matter.

Volunteers

We provide volunteers to ensure you receive as much assistance as you need, from organising the opening to assisting with everything on the day, such as collecting donations on the gate and selling refreshments.
